Gourmet Jazz has been playing in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area since 2012. Starting as friends from various settings jamming for fun, the chemistry between our players was obvious! So we formed a band, recorded a demo CD (remember them?) at Wild Sound Recording Studio and marketed ourselves. We first gigged regularly at People’s Organic in Minnetonka. In 2015 we started a monthly gig at The Marsh Cafe in Minnetonka that ended in 2020 due to COVID closure. Our current regular gig is at Flying Dutchman Spirits in Eden Prairie.

Combinations of our players have played many local gala events, private parties, weddings, and indoor and outdoor public venues. We have collaborated with vocalists Jennifer Grimm, Sophia Shorai and Joe Weismann at performances. Our demo tunes feature Jennifer Grimm, Bruce Jandrey on piano and Mike Hillman on trumpet and flugelhorn.
